THE ROLE

  • Position: Interim HR Director
  • Start Date: Immediately
  • Duration: 12 months, contract based
  • Location: South Romania, onsite presence required
  • Reporting To: Board of Directors

We are seeking a highly skilled Interim HR Director to oversee the HR department during a critical phase in the company’s development.

This role is crucial in maintaining stability and driving HR initiatives that align with the company’s goals. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local labor laws, leading Union negotiations, enhancing recruitment and performance systems, and supporting management in key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and manage the HR department using a systemic process approach.
  • Align HR strategies with the company’s business objectives, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and participate in negotiations with the Unions, effectively representing the company’s interests.
  • Advise top management on HR strategies, supporting key business decisions.
  • Implement and improve the hiring process, focusing on Management and Coordinator positions.
  • Establish a performance review and development system for all employees, ensuring managers’ active participation.
  • Conduct HR reporting activities, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assess and upskill the current HR team to enhance competencies and ownership.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and compliance with employment laws.
  • Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and senior management, utilizing HR metrics for strategic reporting.

CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS:

  • Ensure the optimal structure of the HR department to meet the plant’s needs.
  • Drive the reorganization of all departments to align with business requirements.
  • Improve HR service levels and foster strong cross-departmental collaboration.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will be an experienced senior an HR leader with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of labor laws and Union relations.

Fluency in English and Romanian is essential.

  • Problem Solver: Able to quickly assess situations and implement effective solutions in challenging and fast-paced environments.
